NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT
I hope all of you had a safe and joyous holiday as well as a happy New Year celebration. Also with the New Year came a new decade; hopefully one with more peace and promise than the last one. We can do our small part by actively participating in the club, thus making it better for everyone to learn and enjoy. Whether you're a junior or senior member of the club it's important to attend as many functions as you can. Your interest and energy helps others. See you on the 11th of January

MINUTES FROM THE, 2009 MEETING
We had a party at Charles and Judy Rudokas's home. We would like to thank them for opening up their home to us. We did not have a meeting. We all had a great time talking to each other and good food to eat.

CLUB NEWS AND MEETING INFORMATION by Judy Budnik
Our next meeting is January 11. I am working on a program. I hope we can have a very short board meeting before the club meeting to get the budget set for 2010.
No board or committee meetings last month to report on.

Mine Safety Training to be sponsored by the Dayton Gem & Mineral Society
Once again, we have scheduled The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) training course for Tuesday, April 13, 2010. We have a multi use room reserved at United Christian Church which is located at 8611 Hoke Road, Clayton, OH 45315. They have plenty of room and parking available as well as a kitchen. There are eating places in the area.
To get there, take I-70 west of I-75 to Hoke Road (or Ohio 49 south), turn right at the exit onto Hoke Road going north. This is the second exit from I-75 not counting the airport exit. (I-75 to I-70 west, pass Airport exit, Rt. 48/Main Street/ Englewood exit, Hoke Road exit). The church is about 1 mile north on the west side of the road.
